THE CONCEPT
Cy Twombly said “What I am trying to establish is - that Modern Art isn’t dislocated, but something with roots, tradition and continuity. For myself the past is the source (for all art is virtually contemporary).”
With this garment we played on the idea of connecting a Renaissance master with a contemporary master. This seemingly spontaneous design combines a drawing from Master Renaissance artist Raphael with wild and untamed markings inspired by Cy Twombly.
